These are pictures from the 3rd annual volunteer event held by the Kindness Connection and the NU Club of Chicago at Northwestern.
Projects ranged from making get well cards for vets, to making bookmarks for blind children and packing healthy lunches for the homeless.
The projects benefited Habitat for Humanity, the Hines VA Hospital, Special Olympics and other nonprofit organizations serving children in need, the elderly, and sheltered animals.
The Kindness Connection is a non-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting volunteerism. The organization started by two Wilmette mothers who wanted volunteer projects to do with their children.
